    Comron Saifi, MD, is the Director of Clinical Spine Research at Penn Medicine. He received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed his internship in general surgery and residency in orthopaedic surgery at the New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. He completed his fellowship in pediatric and adult spine surgery at Rush University Medical Center.

    Dr. Saifi’s clinical expertise includes all complex adult spinal pathology, including scoliosis, kyphosis, primary and metastatic spinal tumors, minimally invasive spine (MIS) surgery, cervical spine surgery particularly cervical disc replacement, and outpatient spine surgery. He has authored peer reviewed publications on cervical disc replacements, vertebral column resections for spinal deformity, congenital scoliosis, and other spine surgery topics. Dr. Saifi currently sees patients at Penn Orthopaedics Pennsylvania Hospital and Penn Medicine Rittenhouse in Philadelphia.
